Not really an 'Animal Character', but as far as categories go, it wasn't swords and sorcery or an original character so..
Anyway, a female Gelfling. Gelflings are from the movie The Dark Crystal, and it was hard to get the angular face right from the angle I was drawing her. Not so proud of the wings, or the suns, but I kinda like it.
I've been reading a lot of Brian Froud's stuff and looking at alot of his paintings, and he did the design for The Dark Crystal, one of my fave movies, and the Labyrinth, another favorite. Looking at his stuff has really inspired me to draw a lot more.
